As of November 2025, every ring we resize gets a ring resizing record that you can take with you and keep with any other documentation you have for your ring.
The purpose of this record is a bit like a service record for a car. Its documentation about what has been done to a ring, when it was done, how it was done, who did it, and what materials were used. It also alerts them to any previously identified issues with the ring, such as worn settings.
This is not only useful for your peace of mind but also for anyone who is working on the ring in future.
For instance, if a ring has already been stretched up 2 sizes, it's not a good idea to try and stretch it up 2 more, so a jeweller should consider other methods of resizing.
It is also helpful for a jeweller to know where any existing joins are in a ring and what type of solder was used.
