The cost of the materials for your make your own wedding ring workshop depends on how much your finished rings weigh. At the end of your workshop, when the rings have been made, we can weigh them and then work out the cost depending on which metal has been used.

Some metals cost more than others, and larger rings weigh more.
We can give you accurate estimates for the cost of materials if you know your finger size and how wide you would like your ring to be. These are the two main factors when calculating volume and therefore the weight.
Don't worry if you don’t know these, for a ballpark estimate, we can use the average size and width. For women this is a size L, 2mm wide, and for men this is size T, 5mm. A pre-workshop visit is recommended if you have something custom or adventurous in mind, but not essential for booking a workshop.
It is difficult for us to publish accurate metal estimates as the price of precious metals go up and down. In 2025 the price of gold went up 61% and by 12% from August to September alone.
Unfortunately, we do not know if the price of these materials will go up or down, and Edward Fleming Jewellery does not control the global price of gold.
