Pear cut rings

Pear cut rings can be made to order in any size, in any metal and in any style of ring. The first part of the process is selecting your pear cut diamond. This is arguably the most important and fun part of the process!

Choosing a pear cut diamond

Before starting out its best to do some research and have an idea of your budget, as this is one of the first things a jeweller will ask. From the jeweller’s point of view, they need to narrow things down a bit because they can only show you a limited number of diamonds at any one time.

If you have an idea of your budget then the jeweller can set to work finding stones that match your budget and have the best possible match.

The budget is important because of how diamond pricing works. A first time diamond buyer might ask something like, ‘’How much is a 1ct diamond ring’’ which is an impossible question to answer because ‘1ct’ (how big the stone is) is only 1 part of the puzzle.

Asking, how much a 1ct diamond ring is, is a bit like asking ‘’how much is a red car?’’ There’s obviously more to a car than the colour, there’s the engine size, safety rating, fuel consumption etc which all affect its value and its the same with diamonds. You can get a 1ct diamond for £300 or £30,000 it all depends on what attributes it has and pear cuts are no exception.

After you’ve chosen the perfect stone for you, its time to decide what style of ring you would like. In some designs like a pear cut solitaire, a diamond might be on its own, however other designs, such as halo rings call for other diamonds to be added.
