Although the United Kingdom is the only country in the world where it is a legal requirement that items described as being made of silver, gold or platinum are hallmarked, there are plenty of other countries that apply hallmarks.

One of the nice things about being based in a city as international as London, is the variety of different hallmarks we see from countries around the world. As people bring in items of jewellery with hallmarks from around the world we take pictures (with permission) and upload them here.

We have done our best to correctly identify and label the hallmarks we come across and we hope you find this and interesting and useful recourse.
